GUWAHATI: One person was arrested with a huge amount of assorted drugs in Guwahati, Assam yesterday night.

GUWAHATI: One person was arrested with a huge amount of assorted drugs in Guwahati, Assam yesterday night.
The accused person was arrested during a operation conducted in Tetelia, Guwahti by a Special Operations Group of West Guwahati Police as part of the mission against the war on drugs of Assam Police.
The arrested person has been identified as Mahmood Haque Saheb.
Saheb was arrested from a area located nearby Raddison Blu Hotel.
Moreover, police also recovered a scooty bearing registration number AS01AN9246 from Saheb's possession.
Police seized as many as 12 containers of assorted drugs.
A case has been registered against Saheb at the Jalukbari police station under different sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
Further investigation on the matter is underway.
