One arrested with pistol along the Assam-Bengal border

DHUBRI: Assam Police nabbed one person and recovered an illegal pistol from his possession along the Assam-Bengal border this evening.

The accused person has been identified as Nur Jamal Hoque, a resident of Sagolia under Agomani Block in Dhubri district of Assam.

Sagolia police recovered the pistol from his house.

According to police, while the police team was approaching Hoque's house based on a tip, he attempted to run but was failed.

Police arrested Jamal and undertaken an investigation on the matter.
