Nephew of United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent commander-in-chief Paresh Baruah is suspected to have joined the him as he has been reported to be missing for the past three days.
As per reports, Baruah’s nephew, Munna Baruah went missing three days ago from Digboi. After his family members found no trace of him anywhere, they suspected him of joining the ULFA-I. However, this information does not have any confirmation.
Police sources claimed that there are possibilities but they are yet to verify the issues.
Munna is the youngest son of Paresh Baruah’s elder brother Bimal Baruah.
A missing report has been filed by the family members at Chabua and Digboi police stations.
It may be mentioned that over the past few months, a huge number of youth opposed to the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 have joined the ULFA-I. Paresh Baruah's nephew is also among the youth suspected to be a recruit of the militant outfit.
The police are investigating the matter and trying to verify the reports of the youth joining the ULFA-I.
