WHAT IS THE PASSPORT ENTRY INTO INDIA AMENDMENT ACT,2015?

The Peasant leader Akhil Gogoi's Press Conference was a major eye opener, rather a bolt from the blue making some major revelations.

While the uproar against the Proposed Citizenship Amendment Bill has swayed the state, the revelation made by the Peasant leader has further triggered the situation.

He mentioned about some notifications and orders issued by the Government of India which has created a sensation across the State. He mentioned about a notification made on 7th September,2015 and the same was published on the Gazette on 8th May, 2015. The notification had in it the "Passport Entry into India,2015 Act" which legalizes the stay of every illegal immigrant in India of minority communities except Muslim from the neighbouring countries of Bangladesh and Pakistan. Together with the notification, an order was passed to bring the notification into action.

He also stated about the order of the Indian Government to entrust the illegal immigrants with long term Passports. Another major revelation comes to the fore when Gogoi makes it clear about the order issued by the Central government to the State government on 20th August,2016. The notification had in it clear orders for the opening of bank accounts to those illegal immigrants. The order pronounced for providing the right to purchase property by the illegal immigrants, to ensure them with all his amenities for a living and most importantly granting them the right of freedom of movement and also to ensure long term visas to them. This brings to light that even if the Citizenship bill gets discarded, there will be no deportation of the illegal immigrants according to the provisions of the notification issued.

Such breakthrough revelations has posed serious questions on the promises made by Government of India and Assam. These notifications has only lead to the speculations regarding the Citizenship Amendment Bill as an entire homework comes to sight. Was  all the promises and profane talks of deportation of the illegal migrants just some deception to increase the vote bank?.

Is is just a farce play further pushing the indigenous people into parel at the hands of the illegal immigrants. Time to think? No, its the time to act.
