PM Narendra Modi’s ‘Acche  Din’ seems to be a hoodwink with petrol and Diesel prices touching heights.

The National Capital has seen increase in prices of per litre of Petrol and Diesel by Rs. 2.24 and Rs. 2.15 respectively for nine days in a row since 14th May. The prices of petrol and Diesel soaring to Rs76. 87 and Rs 68.04 respectively is recorded as highest in the Capital’s history

The price hike attacks Guwahati as well squeezing the sweat and blood of the mass with petrol prices hiked by Rs. 2.3 per litre and Rs.2.24 for per litre of diesel leading the prices of Petrol and Diesel to be Rs. 79.03 and Rs.  71.07 respectively.

The hike gets us cynical about the most exaggerated ‘Acche  Din' which Our PM has promised with the agenda of stabilization  of price rise forming an integral part of the 2014 General Elections.

The contradiction seems quite viable as the BJP party which scrutinized the UPA government for inflation is now seen treading the same abyss. The party even took to streets and called for Bharat Bandh protesting against price rise is now only a mere spectator

Speaking to Inside NE, the Peasant Leader Akhil Gogoi stated that Narendra Modi prior to 2014 General Elections flaunted the slogan of ‘Mehngai Hatayenge’, deceiving the common people. He stated that BJP led NDA government  destabilized the regulation of prices of petrol and diesel imposing heavy Central and State tax on petroleum used commodities. He said “ Since rise in prices of petrol and Diesel impacts on the overall prices of commodities, Narendra Modi has failed greatly to stand up to his own promises.” He also urged the people to take to streets to voice their concern on the matter. He announced that KMSS would  launch protest programs across the state.

Speaking to Inside NE,  Leader of Opposition party in Assam Debabrata Saikia stated that had the Government wanted genuinely to work for the cause of the people,  they would have cut down on the taxes of diesel and petroleum at least to some extent. He stated firmly that the BJP led NDA government works in favour of the private refineries and agencies which forms an important part to laud them with funds.

Lurin Jyoti Gogoi,  General Secretary of AASU while speaking to Inside NE stated that stabilization of price rise which was one of the agendas that rose the BJP to power has been miserably failed making the Common people it's victims. Condemning the inflation sternly he announced of organizing protest programs against such a mishap

Thus the much awaited ‘Ache Din' is far from reality. So it's now up-to the people to decide whether to get debunked or drown in the same wave.
