Piyush Mordia, IPS takes charge as an Inspector General of BSF Guwahati

Guwahati, March 25, 2019:

Piyush Mordia, IPS, took over the charge of Inspector General of Border Security Force, on 23 March 2019, Guwahati Frontier from Rakesh Aggarwal, IPS, IG.

Mordia belongs to the 1998 batch of the Indian Police Service and was allotted the Uttar Pradesh Cadre. Piyush Mordia in his early days in the Indian Police Service has served in various positions in Uttar Pradesh. Subsequently, he joined BSF and served as DIG BSF SHQ Bikaner then in Force Head Quarter New Delhi as DIG Confidential.

Piyush Mordia has been decorated with President Police Medal for Meritorious Service. He is conferred with several Director General Commendation Roll.

Piyush Mordia after assuming charge emphasized upon the necessity of effective Border Management to prevent trans-border crimes and strengthening of cordial relations between two Border Guarding Forces.

He also stressed to focus upon imperative of welfare of troops and will strive towards winning heart & mind of Border populous while accomplishing assigned task impeccably.
