POACHER WITH RHINO HORN ARRESTED IN ASSAM

A poacher was arrested on Monday by Sivsagar police from Dimoura area. On thorough interrogation, he revealed that he was involved in rhino killings and based on his confessional statement a rhino horn was recovered from Salmora in Sivsagar district. The rhino horn weighing 1.5 kilogram is estimated to be worth several lakhs in the gray market. The poacher has been identified as Kopil Kahar. Police also recovered gold and fake currency making materials from his possession. It may be mentioned that Kopil has allegedly amassed huge wealth in a very short period of time. Investigation of Kopil is on to ascertain in how many poaching cases he was involved.
