Police Arrests Four for Dealing Drugs in Assam's Guwahati

Guwahati, March 14, 2020:

The Assam Police on Saturday arrested two women in Guwahati on Saturday and recovered suspected psychotropic substance from their possession.

The two women, identified as Safia Begum, aged 32 and Monuwara Begum, aged 37, were carrying fifteen vials containing suspected psychotropic substance. All the vials have been seized from the two women. Police have also recovered two mobile handsets and a cash amount of Rs 22, 790.

In another raid conducted by the Crime branch of Guwahati City Police, another two men were arrested from Guwahati Club Bus Stop. Identified as Farukh Khan and Moidul Islam, aged 20 and 22 respectively, the two were arrested for carrying psychotropic (suspected) substances.

Police have also seized one Plastic Soap Holder containing 10 grams of suspected psychotropic substances, one Motor bike and two mobile handsets from their possession.
