Police Arrests Gang of Kidnappers, Rescues Businessman in Karbi Anglong

Diphu, September 26, 2019:

Police have arrested three people in connection to a kidnapping case of a businessman named Bijoy Agarwal.

The kidnappers, Tapan Teron (47), Sanjay Gowala (30) and Janak Basumatary (40), were arrested from the Howraghat area of east Karbi Anglong.

Businessman Bijoy Agarwal was abducted from Dokmoka on September 14 and was kept at a deserted house located in Karbi Anglong.

Police had conducted multiple operations in Nagaland, Hojai and Karbi Anglong areas and finally traced Agarwal’s whereabouts.

They have also recovered a motorcycle in connection to the kidnapping case.
