POLICE FILED CHARGESHEET AGAINST THE BATADRAVA RAPE CASE

Ray of hope for justice of the Batadrava rape case.

The Crime branch of Nagaon Police  probing the alleged rape and murder of a minor girl today filed a 185 page chargesheet against eight of the accused. The chargesheet has been filed in connection to the gang rape that took place in Lalunggoan in Nagaon District of Assam. The case was filed in Batadrava Police Station under the Batadrava PS case number number 64/18. While the charge sheet was filed in a local court and the accused was booked under 448/374(D)/201/302 sections of IPC. The investigation was conducted under the investigating Officer  Dhiren kakaty. after interrogating 50 witnesses, 43 were taken into consideration. It is to be noted that this particular case is one of the biggest crime committed in Assam. The main accused Zakir Hussain along with the other two juvenile, Zakir's parents and the driver were arrested.
