Morigaon police shot minor rape & murder accused Syed Ali to prevent escape

MORIGAON: The prime accused of the Morigaon minor rape and murder case, Syed Ali (62) has sustained bullet injury in a police firefight when he tried to escape from their custody.
Accused Syed Ali, has sustained a bullet injury in the knee while he attempts to flee from police custody.
According to police officials, the incident took place when Syed Ali was being taken for reconstruction of the scene of the crime.
After he attempts to flee, police had to use lawful minimum force to prevent escape, said police.
He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The accused in the rape and murder case of a 9-year-old minor in Morigaon district of Middle Assam was arrested by Assam police on June 26.
The accused who is a former priest of a mosque is a resident of the same village as the victim.
The minor girl who is from a religious minority community was raped and murdered on June 20 in Bhuragaon, Morigaon district.
She was raped and brutally killed by unidentified men and the body of the 9-year-old girl was recovered from a roadside jute field in Balidonga village under Bhuragaon police station in the district.
