Guwahati, April 14, 2019:

The spirit of ‘Rongali Bihu’ is such that even enemies cast aside their differences on this occasion of utmost importance for the sons and daughters of Assamese soil. On this very auspicious of occasions that marks the beginning of the Assamese New Year, people from all ranks, religions, and communities throw aside their divisions to come together to usher in the New Year in a grand way.

People from all over Guwahati city descended on Latasil playground to partake in Bihu festivities and two faces which are well known to the residents of the city were also seen grooving to the infectious tunes of Bihu. These two daughters of Assam, Bobbeeta Sharma (from Congress) and Queen Oja (from BJP), might be rivals when it comes to politics, but the only thing that mattered today is their connection to the soil of Assam.
