Prabhat Sarma awarded as ‘Gupshup Life Time Achievement Awards’

Guwahati, February 23, 2019:

Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee Prabhat Sarma, a folk exponent, flutist, music director of Assam got the ‘Life Time achievement award' in the 4th Edition of Gupshup Music Awards, 2019 on Saturday. The award has been presented to him by Indian classical sarod player Amjad Ali Khan.

The event is organized at the Srimanta Shankerdev Kalakshetra.

Gupshup Music Awards is the biggest music award of the North East has been graced by Bollywood’s eminent singers Usha Uthup, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Zubeen Garg, and several celebrities from Assam and North East.

The 4th Edition of the musical extravaganza also witnessed some of the popular bands like the Purple Haze, Tezpuriya Thespian and Mizo Dance Camp.

The function will continue till the night.
