Assam Food and Civil Supplies Minister Phani Bhusan Choudhury on Wednesday said that the price of onion and potato will not reduce till November. The minister stated this after a meeting with Chambers of Commerce held at Janata Bhawan today.

The minister said that the state government will fix the price of mustard oil adding that the prices of onion and potato are soaring high in the market as it costs high in the source from where it comes.

The minister further stated that the prices of onion and potato will be high till November.

It may be mentioned that the onion price in the market is Rs.50 per kg while that of potato is Rs. 40 per kg.
