    Nalbari (Assam), 2 August 2018:

    The Hindu Yuva Chatra Parishad staged a protest against Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Nalbari district on Thursday. The protesters burnt her effigies. They asked her not to politicize the issue of draft publication of the National Register of Citizens.

    Protests against her were staged elsewhere too, including Guwahati.
