Guwahati, November 7, 2018:

Congress MP from Kaliabor, Gaurav Gogoi on Wednesday categorically denied chances of forging an alliance with the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF).

Gogoi said, “The AIUDF’s sole motive is to earn profit.

“The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is indulging in divisive politics and both BJP and Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) do not have the guts to go it alone in the ensuing Panchayat polls,” said Gogoi.

State Election Commission has announced that the Assam panchayat election will be held on December 5 and December 9.

It may be mentioned here that the panchayat election will be held in two phases results of which will be declared on December 12.

In the first phase, voting will be held in 16 districts and in the second phase the voting will be held in 10 districts.
