All Assam Students' Union (AASU) Chief Advisor Samujjal Bhattacharya, while expressing his gratitude to the delegate of Janata Dal United (JD-U) for their support for the anti-Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, called on more parties to join the cause.

“From the 31st of the month, Rajya Sabha will start. It all depends on the opposition political parties and NDA allies, particularly the Congress party. The AASU advisor also cautioned opposition not to abstain from the Rajya Sabha. “That will defeat this Bill and abstaining from the Rajya Sabha will not serve the interests of the people of Northwast.

He also appealed to Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar and expressed confidence that Bihar CM would be able to ameliorate the problems of the indigenous people of Assam and Northeast.
