Ranu Langthasa elected new Chairperson of N.C. Hills Autonomous Council

Guwahati, February 6, 2019:

Ranu Langthasa has been elected as the new Chairperson of N.C. Hills Autonomous council unopposed as member of 12^th NC Hills Autonomous council from Semkhor constituency on Wednesday.

She was elected unopposed as no other candidate filed nomination for the post. Ranu has also served as a chairperson on the 11^th NC Hills Autonomous council for 2 years.

However, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the council is yet to be selected. Sources have claimed that Debolal Gorlosa will again be the CEM as he is the first choice of Himanta Biswa Sharma.
