Revealed: Assam records 78.23% voter turnout in First phase of polling

Guwahati, April 12, 2019:

The final polling percentage for the five Constituencies in Assam has finally been revealed. The polling percentage for the Constituencies which headed to the polls on Thursday are as follows:

9-Tezpur - 79.15%

11-Kaliabor - 82.09%

12-Jorhat - 77.49%

13-Dibrugarh - 77.26%

14-Lakhimpur - 74.81%

Assam Average - 78.23%

The carnival of democracy got underway in the country on Thursday as approximately 14 crore Indians headed to the polls to elect their parliamentary representives. The second phase on April 18 will see Karimganj, Silchar, autonomous district, Mangaldoi, and Nagaon Constituencies in Assam heading to the polls.
