RS 35 LAKH SIPHONED OFF FROM CUSTOMERS OF UCO BANK DIBRUGARH USING COUNTERFEIT CHEQUES

Guwahati, October 4, 2018:

Three customers of the UCO bank in Dibrugarh were looted of Rs 35 lakhs recently. It came to light on Thursday when the customers found the amounts missing from their respective bank accounts. The amount of Rs 35 lakhs of three persons were siphoned off from their accounts with UCO bank using counterfeit cheques.

One Madan Goswami was looted of Rs. 10.80 lakh, while Rs 15 lakh was looted from a businessman Kishan Garodiya and Rs 9 lakh was looted from another customer of the bank. The amount was withdrawn from a Hyderabad bank.
