Rs 8 Lakh siphoned off from retired teacher in Nagaon

Nagaon, May 28, 2019:

Phishing has been one of the biggest threats for the people exercising online monetary transaction.

This time, one such incident took place in Nagaon district of Assam. A sum of Rs. 8 lakh has been fraudulently taken away through the means internet banking from Abdul Jalil of Juria in Nagaon.

Abdul Jalil is a retired professor. The money has been fraudulently siphoned off from his State Bank account.

An FIR has been lodged in connection with the case at Haibargaon Police Station.

Meanwhile, the victim suspected the involvement of bank officials in the fraudulent case.

The police have initiated an investigation into the case.
