RANGIA: Bhabesh Kalita, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Rangia Constituency in Lower Assam, today called on voters to foil Badruddin Ajmal's "dream of becoming chief minister."
"Never let Ajmal's dream of occupying Dispur be fulfilled. In time, the people will see that and it is through the faith and confidence of the people in the BJP party that the government will be formed again," said Kalita, on the campaign trail.
Although the BJP leaders have time and again alleged that the grand alliance deigns to install Ajmal as the next chief minister. Ajmal himself, however, has categorically denied the claims.
Claiming that the BJP party "has got love from the people across the state", Kalita exuded hope that the party will be able to accomplish its "100 plus mission."
"The people have embraced me in the Rangia assembly constituency, and I am convinced that there are no candidates who can challenge me in the constituency. I personally will win with more than one lakh votes," he added.

BJP candidate Bhabesh Kalita along with his party leaders and supporters today held election campaigns at several places at the Tamulpur subdivision under Rangia Assembly Constituency.
Kalita then enumerated the schemes taken up by the BJP-led Government for the country and the people of the state.
He also gave details of development in various areas -- including education, health, transport, agriculture -- in Rangia Constituency when he was the MLA.
Mulling that the speed of development pace will hasten after the formation of another government led by the BJP, he added that the Sarbananda Sonowal led unit has brought about "revolutionary development" in the state already.
With the Assam Assembly Election 2021 dates nearing, candidates from various political parties as well as independents across have stepped up their campaigning with the aim of wooing voters.
In today's rallies, Bhabesh Kalita was accompanied by a large number of BJP, UPPL, and GSP leaders including Hemant Kumar Rava, Bhaskarjyoti Kalita, Gajen Boro, et al.
