SARADHA CHIT FUND SCAM PRIME ACCUSED SUDIPTA SEN SENT TO 14 DAYS JUDICIAL CUSTODY

A special court in Guwahati on Friday sent Sudipta Sen, the prime accused in the 2,000 crore Saradha chit fund scam to 14 days’ judicial custody after he was brought  to Guwahati from a Kolkata jail for interrogation. Sen was produced before the court in connection with a 2014 case against him by the State’s Enforcement Directorate (ED). Earlier in the day, Sen was sent to Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital for health check-up before being produced in court. Sudipta Sen would be lodged at the Guwahati central jail before the next hearing on April 6.
