Senior AGP leader Girindra Kumar Baruah resigns after AGP-BJP alliance

Guwahati, March 15, 2019:

Senior Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) Girindra Kumar Boruah has resigned from his post on Friday evening after the AGP- BJP moved back into the alliance.

The AGP-BJP alliance has frustrated many of the AGP leaders along with the grass root workers of the party.

It is to be mentioned that the AGP has joined hands again with the BJP despite the fact that the latter has announced to bring back the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 for which the people of Assam have protested for months.
