Seven poachers apprehended from Kaziranga National Park

Guwahati, December 29, 2018:

The Assam forest department on Friday apprehended seven suspected poachers from Kohora area of the Kaziranga National Park (KNP).

The team recovered huge quantity of tiger body parts from their possession.

According to official reports, the poachers has confessed of killing a tiger near Nagaon-Karbi Anglong district border and were trying to sell these body parts to wildlife traffickers.

The accused has been identified as Babu Teron, Joysing Bey, Dharam Sing Bey, Barlong Teron, Balbir Singh, Dilip Singh and Manjit Singh.
