The Sub-Inspector (SI) written exam, which was initially scheduled to be held on September 20 but was cancelled due to leakage of its question paper and will now be conducted on November 22. The examination will happen for 597 Sub-Inspector posts.
"The State Level Police Recruitment Board assures all applicants that the examination process will be totally transparent, where every applicant will get a fair opportunity to compete," stated the notification.

Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, ordered to look into the matter and find the culprits and over the past few days, the police arrested BJP leader Diban Deka and a few more individuals in connection with the case. A former Deputy Inspector General of Police and an accused in the case, has gone into hiding.
Meanwhile, The board members of SLPRB Assam have also been reshuffled and Director General of Police (DGP), Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta was appointed as the new chairman.
