Guwahati, August 18, 2019:

Assam's 'Sprint queen' Hima Das has bagged her 6th Gold Medal at the Women’s 300m in Athleticky Mitink Reiter 2019 in Czech Republic on Saturday.

Das shared about the feat through her Twitter handle. She said that she finished top in the 300m race.

This is the Dhing Express’ 6th Gold Medal this year. Czech Republic has been lucky for the Ace Sprinter as she had won her last Gold Medal on July 20. Hima has been grabbing Gold since July 2 this year, continuing her excellent form.

Earlier, Das had won a 400-metre event, winning the Gold medal with a record of 52.09 seconds. Her personal best is 50.79 seconds which was recorded at the 2018 Asian Games. According to her coach, she is yet to achieve her record best timing which she is lacking right now.

The 6th medal is a sign of the sprinter’s major comeback after she had failed to complete the 400-meter race in the Asian Athletics Championship in April this year, following a back spasm.
