Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's 'Art of Living' to Provide Fluoride-Free Water to 6,500 Homes in Karbi Anglong

Guwahati, September 28, 2019:

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the spiritual guru, and leader of the 'Art of Living' project have undertaken an initiative to provide potable water to the residents of Karbi Anglong.

After the presence of high quantity of fluoride was brought to the attention of the organization, Robin Dutta, a Professor associated with the 'Art of Living' designed a filter to remove fluoride. Now, 6,500 homes are expected to benefit from this initiative.

Autonomous Council's BJP MP Horensing Bey was also present during the flagging off of this initiative.

Taking to Twitter, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar wrote, "Due to high fluoride content, the water in Karbi Anglong, Assam causes red teeth & bone-related problems in the locals there. Our Prof. Robin Dutta has made a fluoride removing filter. This @ArtofLiving

project will provide drinking water to 6500+ homes & 50 public campuses."
