STATE BANK EMPLOYEES PROTEST COMRADE’S KILLING

GUWAHATI, OCTOBER 10, 2018:

The State Bank of India Staff Association (SBISA) today took out a protest rally in Guwahati demanding justice to Junu Sarmah. Hundreds of protestors marched through the busy thoroughfares of Guwahati holding candles and placards.

Talking to InsideNe, one of the protestor Tahir Ahmed said “We condemn the murder of our comrade Junu Sarmah. We demand high level enquiry of the incident, prevention of recurrence of such attack on bankers and arrest of the culprits at the earliest.”

It may be mentioned that State Bank of India Deputy Manager of Dadara branch Junu Sarmah was killed by unidentified gunmen on Tuesday at Agyathuri near Guwahati while she was returning home from office in her car.
