Suspected Myanmar Trained NDFB-S arrested in Kokrajhar

Kokrajkhar, October 31, 2018:

A suspected cadre of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland-Saraigwra (NDFB-S) was arrested from Kokrajhar’s Bhawraguri on Tuesday.

Based on a specific input about movement of some cadres of the outfit, a joint operation was launched by the police and Army in the general area of the village in the evening yesterday. Multiple checking was conducted by the team and at around 9 PM, an individual on a bike was apprehended. During spot interrogation, the identity of the person was revealed as Jayanta Narzary alias N Jawglang of Kusumbil, Gossaigaon.

The team further recovered one .22 Pistol, five rounds of live ammunitions, one hand grenade, one mobile phone, one motorcycle and other incriminating materials from his possession.

According to the police he is a hardcore cadre of 42nd batch of the militant outfit. He came to Kokrajhar last year 2017 from Myanmar. He is suspected to be involved in many crimes. Further investigation is going on.
