Suspected NSCN-K cadre arrested in Jagun

The 9th Battalion of the Rajputana Rifles apprehended one suspected cadre of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Khaplang (NSCN-K) from Jagun Ghat on Tuesday.

The suspected cadre has been identified as Banhom Hangphuk. According to the security forces the cadre is self-styled Sergeant Major of the militant outfit.

This operation is part of the ongoing clear out by security forces on the militant organizations which are active in Upper Assam.

The arrested cadre has been handed over to Jagun police who will now carry on with the further investigations on the issue.
