While addressing an election rally at Ghagrachak, Goibari Sarma said, “We will create Tamulpur district. Tamulpur district will include Darangajuli, Goibari, Nagrijuli and Suklai Serfang constituencies of the BTC. There will be five districts in BTC. Curently there are four districts under the BTC."
The existing four districts under the BTC are—Kokrajhar, Chirang, Udalguri and Tamulpur.
“A medical college will be established at Tamulpur; a new bridge over the Pagladia will be constructed. Thre will be a government college at Darangajuli. A stadium will also be constructed,” Sarma added.
He also highlighted other welfare schemes taken by the Assam government. On the other hand, the minister took on Hagrama Mohilary-led Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) for widespread corruption and anomalies in the government schemes in their 15 years of reign.
Baksa and Udalguri district will go for polls in the first phase on December 7. On the other hand, Kokrajhar and Chirang districts will vote on December 12. The votes will be counted on December 12.
