In a incident in Assam three miscreants were arrested from Lokhra in the year 2016. While the three miscreants recognised as Mohammad Rafi,H,Fazzalu Ahmed and AS Bakrudeen were caught while carrying illegal contraband of Phensedyl in a truck. As reports the truck was on its way from West Bengal towards Agartala. While the truck was intercepted by a inspector police team headed by Binoy Kalita at Betkuchi. The accused persons confessed about the contraband items in the truck. A number of 50 plastic bags were detected. Samples were duly drawn from the seized phensedyl for FSL examination and further inventory was also prepared in presence of the Executive Magistrate, Kamrup.

It may be notified that the three accused are arrested and held guilty with a sentence to rigorous imprisonment of ten years.

INSIDENE speaking to Dr Shyamal Prasad Saikia, SP BIEO  stated that this was the first case registered under NDPS act and was successfully completed within a less investigation period.
