In a tragic road accident, three persons including two children lost their lives when a CRPF vehicle, bearing registration number MH14F-9855, collided head on with an auto rickshaw on NH 37 in Tinsukia district of Assam. 11 person were also injured in the mishap who were immediately rushed to the Tinsukia Civil Hospital who were later referred to the Assam Medical College and Hospital in Dibrugarh. Condition of two of the injured have been stated to be critical. Three of the deceased have been identified as Tilu Chetia and Nini Nath and two year old Dikshita Mech.

Meanwhile, the local people have accused the Traffic police who failed to check auto rickshaws carrying 15 passengers.
