THREE MISSING AFTER BOAT CAPSIZE IN ASSAM

Guwahati, October 29, 2018:

Three persons reportedly went missing while 12 others were rescued after a country boat capsized in Katakhal river in Hailakandi district of Assam.

15 person were on board when the boat capsized due to a thundershower near Lalamukh. Local villagers along with personnel of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) rescued 12 person but three were reportedly swept away.

The three missing persons have been identified as Sumit Pashi, Ajoy Pashi  and Ramesh Pashi, all residents of Lalamukh Tea garden.

A search operation has been launched by the SDRF to trace the missing persons.
