Three suspected Drug smugglers arrested in Digboi

Digboi, November 15, 2018:

Three suspected drug peddlers along with a consignment of suspected brown sugar were apprehended by a team of Central Reserve Police Force and Makum police from Digboi road on Wednesday.

According to the police, the trio- two male identified as Lakhi Neog, Tomba Ali and one female were apprehended based on an specific input. The team also recovered 900 grams of suspected brown sugar from their possession.

All the three individuals have been arrested under section 21(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

As per the preliminary investigations, police suspecting it to be a case of cross-border drugs smuggling.
