ASSAM: TRIPARTITE TALKS RESUMES ON BODOLAND ISSUE WITH ABSU, PJACBM & NDFB-(P)

The Union Government has invited the ABSU and People’s Joint Action Committee for Bodoland Movement (PJACBM) for tripartite talk to be held on Wednesday in New Delhi over the Bodoland Issue. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will chair the talk.

General Secretary of ABSU, Lawrence Islary stated that 16-member delegation from ABSU and PJACBM had already reached New Delhi to participate in the tripartite talk on July 4 led by ABSU president Pramod Boro. The leaders of PJACBM and ABSU, including two former MPs, Sansuma Khunggur Bwiswmuthiary and UG Brahma, will be the part of the team.

The Member of Council Legislative Assembly (MCLA), BTC, Rwngwra Narzary Islary said that the movement group was hopeful for a solution of the Bodoland problem and the region had witnessed a decade- long struggle. He also said the two factions of the NDFB-(P) & Ranjan Daimary had sat together with the interlocutor AB Mathur in New Delhi recently and both the factions had submitted their charter of demands.
