A three months Karbi Speaking course cum Book release programme was held  in Centre for Studies in Karbi Language at Rongkimi, Diphu on Monday.

Tuliram Ronghang CEM KAAC graced the occasion as the chief guest. While speaking on the occasion, Ronghang said that Karbi Language is offered as an elective subject from 2020 and as an MIL from 2021 in every school.  Ronghang also thanked the central government for  Introducing New National Education Police emphasizing on having own Mother Tongue as a medium of instruction from class 1 up to Class 5.

In addition to this, he also mentioned that symposium for writing of books for MIL Subject in Karbi at Higher Secondary Level is being inaugurated to boost the mortal of the writers "Karbi Lamtasam"penned by Longkam Teron and Karbi Alam Kacharli Adichi (Karbi Spoken Course) written by Mondor Teron, Assistant Professor Department of History, Eastern Karbi Anglong College, Hanjanglangso, Sarsing Tisso Teacher Educator, Basic Training Centre, Bokajan, Bikash Teron Assistant Professor, Department of Assamese, Bokajan College,

The program was attended by Horensing Bey MP, Richard Tokbi Board Chairman and MAC, Longsing Teron Director Centre for Studies in Karbi Language and Centre and besides other dignitaries.
