Turkish Nationals Involved in 'ATM Hacking' in Guwahati & Agartala

Agartala, November 19, 2019:

The Tripura ATM hackers are the same ones who had earlier stolen money from ATMs in Guwahati, Assam. The cyber crime department of Tripura Police released two pictures of the ATM frauds, and realized that this gang of Turkish nationals was also engaged in the Guwahati ATM hacking incident in August.

The police in Guwahati has issued look-out notice with photos and other personal details against two Turkish ATM fraudsters who hacked many ATMs in Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Calcutta and 4 in Agartala, over the past few months.

Photographs of the two Turkese ATM fraudsters, identified as Hakan Zaburkan and Fettah Aldemir, were made public, and they already have 46 cases registered against them.

The Assam police also gave the details of the two Turkish conmen’s passport and Visa details. Hakan Zanburkan'S passport being U 20434249, Visa-VK5801891 and Fettah Aldemir’s passport being U 10266187, and Visa VL0146808.

The cyber crime branch of Tripura Police informed that, the hackers used ‘Skimmer Device’ to know the ATM Pin numbers and customers' ATM card details.

According to the cyber crime branch the hackers installed ‘Skimmer Device’ in four ATM counters in Agartala. The ATM counters are: Battala SBI ATM counter, Indra Nagar SBI ATM counter, Kaman Chowmuhani SBI ATM counter and State Co-operative ATM counter at Post officer Chowmuhani.

According to police, many customers visiting the ATMs lost money to the fraudsters, and the SBI authorities closed all four ATM counters last night.

Police have informed that the three bank frauds installed skimmer devices in four ATM counters on the 3rd of November.
