Karimganj, May 4, 2019:

Twenty Bangladeshi nationals were deported to Bangladesh under standard legal procedure at the Assam-Bangladesh border at Assam’s Karimganj on Saturday. The Bangladeshi nationals are being handed over by the Border Security Forces (BSF) to Bangladesh Rifles at the Sutarkandi Indo-Bangladesh international border.

They completed a period of the sentence prior to being handed over to border guards to be deported.

The Bangladeshi nationals had entered the country illegally at different points of time.

It has been reported that the Bangladeshi nationals entered India through the border at Tripura and Assam.

to be deported were lodged at the detention camp of Silchar Central Jail whereas the twentieth, a woman, was lodged in a detention camp in Kokrajhar district.

The Bangladeshi nationals who are to be deported are: Shekhar Namashudra, Sujita Chandra Das, Ikbal Hussain Talukdar, Isak Ali , Ajim Uddin, Amed Uddin, Samir Ahmed, Abdul Gafur, Chand Ali, Alim Uddin, Abdul Latif, Rabindra Das, Digen Chandra Das, Shah Ali Miyan, Ibrahim Talukdar, Faruk Miyan, Sayed Aal Amin, Rabiul Saddar, Parimal Jaldas, and Alorani Das.
