TWO ACCUSED IN APSC CASH FOR JOB SCAM GRANTED BAIL

Guwahati, November 1, 2018:

Two accused in the cash-for-job scam in Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) was granted bail by a special court on Thursday.

Sanjan Phukan and Debabrat Dey on October 26 had submitted a petition before the court of the special Judge in Guwahati expressing their desire to turn approver of the case.

Sanjan Phukan was an election officer of Gohpur while Debabrat Dey was Deputy Superintendent of Police of Tinsukia District Special Branch. Both of them appeared the APSC (Mains) in 2013.

Surprisingly, the duo was never arrested even as their names were included in the list of accused in the scam.
