On Sunday, two more persons were attacked and severely injured in a tiger attack in Tingkhong, Dibrugarh.
The injured were identified as Lalit Dhadumiya and Khireswar Dhadumiya of Kuworigaon. They were reportedly attacked while they went near the forest areas for reasons best known to them.
Both of them were rescued by the locals and have been the Assam Medical College and Hospital for medical assistance.
The forest officials are currently trying to trace the tiger. It has also been suspected that the big might also be a leopard.
It may be mentioned that a person identified as Raju Dena of Dhekiajuli who was attacked by a tiger on Friday died at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital on Sunday. He was attacked by the tiger while he was inside a forest area to get grass for his cattle.
The forest officers are investigating the issue and are trying to locate the tiger which might be a potential threat to other villagers of the area as well. However, it was also stated that Raju went too close to the tiger inside the forest.
