Guwahati, November 12 2018:

Two persons were arrested by the Government Railway Police from Kamakhya Railway Station for allegedly being involved in multiple robbery cases by drugging train passengers.

The arrested persons have been identified as Sadek Ali of Chhaygoan, Kamrup and Md Nur Hussain of Salkata Amabari, North Salmara. They were arrested by Kamakhya GRP OP staff in connection with Guwahati GRPS Case No-308/18 U/S 328/379 IPC.

They are suspected to be involved in looting train passengers by drugging them.

A huge quantity of Atrivan tablets were also recovered from their possession.

Investigation regarding the issue is currently on.
