Two suspected militants "lynched" by locals in Cachar

Guwahati, November 3, 2018:

Two suspected militants were lynched at Harinagar market in Cachar by locals on Saturday.

The persons were first nabbed and beaten up. They were handed over to the Joypur police with severe injuries.

The duo carried huge amount of arms and ammunitions in tribal carrying busket (Lonkai).

The accused were severely injured as beaten by the locals and after which one them died when the police reached the spot while the other one died on the way to hospital.

The police recovered four Ak series rifles, two M16 rifles, huge number of ammunitions, arms posts, two mobile handset.
