United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) candidate from Kokrajhar Constituency Urkhao Gwra Brahma cast his vote today at the Chalani Batabari LP school (polling station no. 85) during the third and final stage of polling in Assam.
"People from all communities will vote for me. The Bodo community has a problem that Naba Sarania could not resolve in 5 years as a member of the Lok Sabha. We have to end the armed struggle and to do that, we have to solve the Bodoland issue. BPF never took the initiative to solve the issue due to which they have been shunned by the Bodo community."

Brahma stated that people can expect something "new" from him if he is voted to power. Stating that he would win with a margin of 1.5 lakh-2 lakh votes, the UPPL candidate added that Pramila Rani Brahma (BPF) and sitting MP Naba Sarania will occupy the 2nd and 3rd positions.
