KOKRAJHAR: At a time when Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) chief Pramod Boro speaks of the region's return to peace and harmony, a new militant group, United Liberation for Bodoland (ULB), has emerged.

The goal of this new militant group is to form a separate large state "Bodoland".

Besides that, the ULB has demanded the immediate release of National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) chief Ranjan Daimary and other jailed cadres and the reinstatement of NDFB members.

In a video, the militant group threatened to do bomb blasts in the state and the BTR region, with a deadline of October this year if the government does not meet their demands,

Furthermore, any of their members who come into contact with a linkman or a family member is tortured by government forces, the consequences can be disastrous, said ULB.

If the government forces kill one member of the ULB, they will take 20 lives, they added.
