'ULFA(I) cadres leaving Myanmar due to Myanmar Army crackdown': Surrendered ULFA Adarsh Asom

Tinsukia, April 27, 2019:

Tinsukia Police on Saturday organized a press conference at the Police Guest House which was addressed by surrendered ULFA (I) cadre Manikant Sonowal alias Adarsh Asom.

The surrendered ULFA (I) cadre said that many cadres are leaving neighboring country Myanmar ever since the Myanmar Army (officially known as ‘Tatmadaw’) started its crackdown against North-Eastern insurgent forces.

Many ULFA (I) cadres are facing problems in recent times and hence, have been fleeing from their camps in the neighboring country, police said.
