Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh lands in Guwahati

Guwahati, March 5, 2019:

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has arrived in Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) in Guwahati. The Home Minister will be visiting Dhubri to inaugurate BOLD-QIT (Border Electronically Dominated QRT Interception Technique) on the Indo-Bangladesh border.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal welcomed him at the airport and he will be headed to Dhubri in an IAF helicopter.

It is to be mentioned that the Government has sanctioned the BOLD-QIT project in order to check infiltration along the 61-km long Indo-Bangladesh border as the project will enable the BSF to monitor movement along the riverine border with sensors.
