Illegal immigrants will be detected and deported: Amit Shah

Guwahati (Assam), September 10, 2018:

BJP president Amit Shah said the NDA government would never let India to become a shelter home for any ‘illegal infiltrator’. His statement was in the context of National Register of Citizens (NRC).

Shah said each person, who entered India or Assam illegally, would be detected and deported. He informed that the steps to identify Rohingya infiltrators had already begun in various parts of the country and actions against them would be taken accordingly.

The BJP chief lauded the Narendra Modi-led NDA government and Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal for updating the NRC as promised.

He said the updation of NRC was very important from the point of view of country’s security and also for economic, political and cultural rights of Assam.
