On Tuesday, Assam heartthrob Zubeen Garg led the Kakaguru Artists' Foundation and the Zubeen Garg Fanclub, a flood donation rally was carried out in Guwahati. The rally began at the a field in Chandmari locality and after moving to places like Paltan Bazar, and Ganeshguri, arrived back at the starting point.
The Assam heartthrob himself collected funds from concerned citizens of Guwahati. Many people extended a helping hand to the organizations -- from the people belonging to the most humble ranks of society (such as auto-drivers, bus-drivers, etc), to well-to-do citizens, all donated generously. Army personnel could also be seen donating for the cause.
Zubeen and co also entered some Government offices and requested the Government employees to make donations, which they did.
All the money that will be collected will be used to set up health camps for the flood victims. Camps are to be set up in Lakhimpur, Golaghat, and Barpeta districts.
